Formwork Anchor Nut for Construction Tie Rod

Formwork anchor nuts (formwork wing nuts) are core load-bearing fasteners within the formwork tie-rod system for assembling concrete wall and column formwork. They effectively withstand lateral pressure during concrete pouring, firmly securing steel form panels in wall and column construction and preventing concrete leakage. Our anchor nuts meet application demands for a wide range of wall and column formwork projects.

 We supply both two-wing and three-wing anchor nuts.

 Round base plate: 70-130 mm diameter, custom sizes supported

 Thread sizes: DW15/17, DW20 , burr-free full-profile threads for smooth rod engagement

 Material options: Q235 carbon steel, 45# steel, ductile iron; both forged and casted anchor nut in stock

 Forged anchor nut: max load-bearing capacity up to 200 KN, over 50 re-uses under proper operation

Our anchor nuts work together with formwork walers to hold steel form panels securely in position. The central machined hole allows tie rods to pass through quickly for convenient on-site assembly.

 

Formwork Anchor Nut models

Tie Rod Wing Nut（butterfly-type）

The formwork wing-style anchor nut comes with two wing lugs. During installation, pass the tie rod through the formwork panel. Slide the waler plate and then the wing nut onto the exposed end of the tie rod. Tighten manually by gripping the wing lugs, then double-check that the panels are firmly secured.

Tie rod wing nuts are available in , D15-17 and D20 sizes to match different project requirements.

Combination Plate Nut

Combination plate nut , also known as wing nut pivot plate, is a locking component for concrete formwork tie-rod systems. It consists of a wing nut and base plate connected by a pivot pin. Base plates are available in round and square styles.Manufactured in forged and cast versions, it fits formwork tie rods of DW15/17 , and DW20 sizes. It is widely used for wall, column and slab formwork projects.

Hex Nuts

Hex nuts (also called Formtie hex nut,hex coupling nuts or hexagonal nuts) are applied in tie-rod systems within building formwork assemblies.

Two sizes are available: 30*50 mm and 30*100 mm. They can replace wing-style anchor nuts where working space is limited.

Wellfit manufactures hex nuts in two material options: steel hex nuts and cast iron hex nuts.

DW15/17 Anchor Nut

DW15/17 anchor nut is a heavy-duty fastener for concrete formwork and formwork shoring systems. It works with 15 mm / 17 mm formwork tie rods to form the wall fastening system and evenly distributes load pressure onto the formwork panels.

DW20 Anchor Nut

The DW20 anchor nut is a heavy-duty threaded fastener, generally manufactured from Q235 carbon steel or ductile iron. Designed for concrete formwork and shoring systems, it pairs with 20 mm diameter tie rods and is applied in wall, column and bridge projects.

 

3-Claw Wing Nut

The 3-claw wing nut serves as a locking fitting for concrete formwork systems and fits DW-series formwork tie rods. Its three-claw structure enables easy hand-tightening with no tools required. Available in forged and cast construction. Commonly used for wall and column formwork, it secures formwork panels .

 

Forged Anchor Nut

This nut fits Dywidag tie-rod assemblies for concrete formwork. Made by hot forging process, it features a compact and robust structure. Threaded onto tie rods, it secures wall and column formwork panels. Multiple thread sizes are available to suit various site-working conditions.

 

Cast Iron Anchor Nut

The cast iron formwork anchor nut is a hand-tightened wing nut for concrete formwork tie-rod systems. Manufactured by casting process, it is compatible with both standard tie rods and Dywidag tie rods. A wide range of thread sizes is offered to match different formwork setups.
