Steel C-clamp
clamp is also called beam clamp,jaw clamp. It is forged manufactured to meet the high loading requirements. Golden or Silver galvanized color to avoid corrosion during using. It is an universal industrial fastener widely used in construction, packaging, machinery processing and logistics fields.
There are two styles: C clamps with hook or without hook.
Critical Sizing Factors: Don't Guess
Before ordering clamps, you need to verify two specific measurements on your job site. A clamp that is "almost" the right size is a safety hazard.
1. Beam Flange Thickness (Jaw Opening)
Beam flanges vary wildly in thickness. A standard I-beam might have a 10mm flange, while a heavy structural H-beam could be 20mm or thicker.
The Risk: If the clamp's jaw opening is too narrow, it won't slide on. If it's too wide, the set screw may not engage fully, leading to a weak connection.
The Fix: Check the "Max Jaw Opening" spec to ensure it accommodates your beam.
2. Load Ratings & Safety Factor
Never exceed the static load limit. Manufacturers typically list a design load with a safety factor (often 3:1 or 5:1).
Note on Orientation: Be aware that clamp load ratings often change depending on how they are mounted. A clamp mounted upside down (hanging) may have a lower rating than one mounted right-side up.
Hanger load nut clevis must be tightened securely to assure proper hanger performance. Punched forming holes may be present on certain sizes of this clevis hanger.These holes are solely for the purpose of manufacturing and do not affect the structural integrity or load carrying capacities of these hangers. Usage Steps
Hook the C-opening onto the workpiece to be fixed.
Rotate the rear hex nut clockwise to advance the screw until the workpiece is firmly locked.
Complete construction, processing or packaging operations.
Turn the nut counterclockwise to retract the screw and remove the clamp intact.
