Formwork steel cones are available in 15mm, 16mm, 17mm, 20mm, and 22mm, in accordance with the inner-thread specifications and the tie-bar system. You can get both galvanized (Silver color or golden color are available) and self-finished steel cones.
They are cone-shaped, with a small top-diameter end and a large bottom-diameter end, and internal threads. The steel cones engage the concrete tie bars in the assembly of the concrete tie system. Tie bars are assembled with the formwork steel cones to secure the formwork panels and ensure concrete placement is accessible during pouring and shuttering. After the concrete is shaped, the steel cones are easy to remove. But you need to repair holes at the steel cone location in the concrete to ensure the structure remains intact.
Features:
Formwork steel cones are ductile cast iron formwork nuts. They have a large end and a smaller end; thus, they are conical. The conical shape makes the steel cone easy to remove from the concrete shuttering after concreting.The steel cones are lightweight with a long body, making them convenient for formwork system assembly.
After the concrete shaped, you need to remove the cone and repair the hole left inside of the concrete the steel cone left to make the structure integrity and complete.
